Gavin Nolan was named the Interim Head Men's Water Polo Coach before the 2023 season after serving as an assistant coach for the Owls the previous year.

Nolan brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to the Owls. He was the head coach at Rancho Cucamonga High School for all aquatics, amassing a 120-65 record. He also co-founded the Rancho Tsunami Water Polo Club and is the Age Group Technical Director for the club, as well as the Head Development Coach of the Coastal Zone for the Olympic Development Program.

The Rancho Cucamonga native grew up playing water polo and played at Chaffey College under Citrus Head Women's Water Polo Coach Jennifer Spalding and her husband Brandon.
